How much is this going to cost?

It depends! There are so many factors that go into creating your quote - like how many pieces you order, how custom your design is and what type of printing or production is required. The starting point for a custom designed invitation suite is about $650 USD. This price is based on 50 sets and includes 5"x7" flat-printed invitations and 4"x6" flat-printed RSVP's printed on premium white card stock, as well as envelopes. We'll also cover the shipping cost to anywhere in the world.

Do you require a deposit?

After our initial meeting we do require a deposit of $150 USD, which will later be deducted from your final quote. Then, once you approve your stationery design, the final payment is due before we head into production. If you choose to cancel at this point (we'll be sad to see you go!), half of your original deposit will be refunded to you.

How long is this going to take?

You can expect the total process from the time we meet to the time you receive your invitations at your door to take anywhere from 4-8 weeks.

What is flat-printing?

Flat printing is the industry standard and is often printed digitally or offset depending on how many pieces you need. Basically, flat printing is the most common printing method used, and simply means it doesn't include any of the fancy stuff such as letterpress or foil stamping. But that doesn't mean your invitations won't be gorgeous, because I guarantee you they will be!

Can I customize something you've already designed?

Of course! If you like what you see on the portfolio page and want to make it your own, we can definitely adjust the colors, wording and even fonts to suit what you're looking for. Email me for a quote.

When do I need to send out my invitations?

Unless you're having a destination wedding where most of your guests need to travel, we generally recommend sending out your save the dates between 6 and 9 months away from your wedding, and your invitations around the 2-3 month mark. For those having a destination celebration, we recommend sending your save the dates around the 9-12 month mark to give your guests time to make travel plans, then your formal invitations by the 4 month mark.

Do you design other stationery pieces besides invitations?

Absolutely! We can create anything you want. This could include menus, place cards, table numbers, ceremony programs, or any other stationery you may need for the big day.

How do I know what to write?

We've got that covered, too. Part of creating a custom design is the wording that goes with it, so we will offer suggestions that suit you, your event and your guests perfectly.

Do you design stationery that isn't wedding related?

Yes, we design all kinds of stationery! While our focus is mainly on weddings we have designed baby shower invitations, bridal shower invitations and even birth announcements.

What is a mood board?

A mood board, or inspiration board, creates a visual vibe for your project and is all about the feeling. When creating a mood board, we focus on defining the color scheme, textures and graphics that best represent the overall look and feel we want to convey. This isn't the time to pinpoint exactly which fonts or graphics we will use, but we do follow it closely when designing. If you have your heart set on anything specific, for instance, modern calligraphy, it is important to let us know that so we can include it in the mood board. The goal is for the mood board to be as close to your vision as possible, and we will work with you until it best represents the style you have in mind.

Have a look at this example. This mood board was created for a couple who were having a destination wedding but wanted something different, fresh and not cliche. After getting to know them (and seeing her dress!), it was evident that their stationery needed to have a bohemian feel to it as well as some vintage accents, but with a modern design to make it feel new.
